Description:  Come join us at Fresh Deli in the Dav. Freight house .  We will begin gathering about 8:30 for coffee and conversation and then order our meal at 9:00. This is a new location for our Sat. Breakfast. If the weather cooperates hopefully we can enjoy the river view and  of course, the company can’t be beat!  Hope to see you there!

Dinner & Volleyball & Ducky’s

Spring Has Sprung and we are back at Ducky’s for volleyball.  Yippee!!

Join the Quad City singles + 40 for an evening of casual dining, and watching/playing volleyball at Ducky’s Lagoon on the Mississippi River west of Andalusia, Il.  Break up the week every Wednesday by meeting new friends to socialize with.  Dinner at 5 pm, volleyball starts at 6 pm.  Come to play, or just watch, newcomers welcome.  We meet on the screened patio, look for the QC Singles signs on the tables.  For more info, contact: Daryl  W. 563-332-6399  Jack L. Visit to Niabi Zoo

When: Thu, May 16, 10:45am – 1:45pm

Where: 13010 Niabi Zoo Rd. Coal Valley, IL

Description:  We will meet in the parking lot at the zoo around 10:45 A.M. and go as a group to purchase tickets $7:25 general admission, $6:50 Seniors 62 & older and walk the park..   Wear comfortable shoes.  After we view all the very interesting animals (bring camera) and maybe ride the Merry-Go-Round (I want to do this - $2.00) have lunch at one of the two concession stands or picnic tables.  Prices range from $3.00 - $3.75 - they have cheeseburgers, clubs, fries, hot dogs, walking tacos, etc.  You are welcome to bring a sack lunch - no glass, no straws, and no alcohol is allowed.  See you at the zoo ..Event Chair:  Lynn Reading-Woods (563) 529-5631   Co-Chair,  Virgil Kuhnert (563) 570-0628

Mall Walking at the Malls

When: Tuesdays  11:00am – 11:30am

Put on your walking shoes and join us at Northpark or Southpark Mall for a half hour of walking at your own pace (check with doctor), lunch together, and maybe a small mixer.  Check calendar for location and details.

Swing Into Spring Dance

When: Sat, March 23, 6:15pm – 10:30pm

Where: American Legion post 246 1623 15th St., Moline, IL

Description: Karen Michaels will play a variety of music for our dancing pleasure.  Tickets are $15.00 at the door or $13.00 in advance from board members.  Put on your dancing clothes and bring a friend.  Tickets can be purchased from Club Directors.

OCTOBER SATURDAY BREAKFAST…

Okay all you gouls and gobblins…it’s time again for our monthly breakfast!  This Saturday, October 22 is the date; The Machine Shed in Davenport is the place; and the time to meet is 8:30 (we will order our breakfast at 9:00).  Bring your appetite and be ready to chow down!  The restaurant will be sure to see that we have plenty to eat!!  See our calendar for details!  Hope to see you all there!

GTO THIS SATURDAY NIGHT!

They’re back - GTO that is!  After having a wonderful, fullfilling breakfast Saturday morning, we will be fired up and ready to dance the night away at the Col Ballroom in Davenport!  We always have a blast at their dances, and this Saturday will be no different!  Good Time Oldies music is so much fun to dance to and nostalgic for all of us OP’s!  See our calendar for details and come see us at the dance!

“TURNING OF THE LEAVES”

Our last canoe trip of the year is scheduled for this Saturday, October 15.  This is always a great one because the colors are so beautiful and even though it may be a bit cool, floating down the Maquoketa River will be an awesome “last hurrah” for 2011!  We should have lots of sunshine and lots of fun, so please come join us Saturday for the “turning of the leaves” canoe trip.  See our calendar for further details!

 This Sunday is our movie day for October!  We are meeting this month at Great Escape in Moline.  Please watch for the update to find the time we will be meeting.  There is a possible “rendevous” for dinner after the movie!
